Red Cow – 50th Street near France Avenue

We had the best lunch at Red Cow on 50th Street. This restaurant has been on my list to visit and we’re definitely going to have to visit again because so many options on the menu looked fantastic.

The beer menu was extensive and we would like to go back when we have more time and try a flight of different beers. We settled on Scotch Eggs for an appetizer- this is the first time either Dusty or I have had Scotch Eggs and we can’t wait to have them again! These were so good. Perfect amount of breading and the Summit beer mustard really was the perfect finishing touch!

I ordered the 60/40 burger which is 60% CAB® & 40% ground bacon patty, Wisconsin aged cheddar, beer mustard and candied bacon and to top it off, the bun is from Wuollot’s Bakery which shares a parking lot with Red Cow. It was incredible. The candied bacon offered a sweetness with each bite. I ordered the parmesan truffle fries with garlic aioli and they were every bit as good as they sound!

Dusty ordered the Cubano Sandwich. This is what I call a “Dusty Sandwich” because if I see this kind of sandwich on the menu, he’ll be drawn to it like a magnet. He ordered it (called that one, didn’t I?) ham, pork belly, pickle, dijon mustard & smoked gouda on a pressed hoagie. He loves this kind of sandwich and it was as good as he’d hoped it would be.  He ordered his sandwich with Sweet Potato Crinkle Planks with a side of smoked pepper aioli

We loved our lunch and have no choice but to visit again to try some other things that caught our eye on the menu. Also has a nice patio and pergola seating area so this would be a fun stop to make in the summer. This is a fun area to shop and we’re happy to have a new favorite spot to eat in the area.

We'd love to hear from you!
