On our Christmas List

Dusty and I have started a list of things we want for the kitchen. We often catch ourselves mentioning that we wish we had “this or that” to work with in the kitchen. Here is an ongoing list of what we want for the kitchen:

We have one enamel cast iron pot and are currently limited with the utensils we want to use when cooking in this pot so some silicone utensils are on our list.

Speaking of pots and pans- we need some recommendations. The set that we have from our wedding needs to be replaced. We are undecided about what type of pan we want to invest in. I have my eye on this one but I’m not sure Dusty would go for the price. Any recommendations?

I really would like a new set of measuring spoons and cups. We currently have plastic ones, some are melted from the dishwasher or the measurement size is wearing off. I have always wanted some metal ones- I like they way the spoons would stay together on the ring too instead of searching the entire drawer for the right size spoon or cup.

What is your favorite kitchen item? What can’t you live without? We’d love to know.

I have a set of measuring cups with “odd” sizes–2/3 and 3/4 cup. It sounds silly but they really come in useful! I also love my food processor, bamboo spatula, and silicon oven mitt.

The pot and pan set you linked to looks lovely! I have a bunch of odds and ends, but actually my favorite saucepan is from Ikea. Reasonably priced and it’s held up very well.

Stacy- I appreciate the answer. Somehow I didn’t notice that your comment was classified as spam – that is why I am commenting 5 months later- lol! I agree that the odd sizes of measuring cups are useful- I used the 2/3 cup just yesterday!
Good to know about the Ikea saucepan- you had me at reasonably priced.

Metal measuring cups & spoons are by far my favorite kitchen gadget. Along with my little enamel juicer for fresh lemon, lime, etc juices.

We'd love to hear from you!
